META TOLUIDINE appears as a clear colorless liquid with a flash point below 200°F. It is toxic through inhalation, ingestion, and skin absorption, especially in high concentrations or under prolonged exposures. The liquid is used in the production of organic chemicals, and its density is approximately 8 lb/gal.

Meta Toluidine neutralizes acids exothermically, forming salts and water. It may be incompatible with various substances such as isocyanates, halogenated organics, peroxides, phenols (acidic), epoxides, anhydrides, and acid halides. In combination with strong reducing agents, it can generate hydrogen, a flammable gas. The substance can react vigorously with oxidizing reagents and emits toxic fumes of oxides of nitrogen upon decomposition.
